Hi everyone,

I am flying to Gothenburg with Qantas in a few months however I am concerned that I will be stuck outside without lounge access in T3 at LHR waiting for the connection. The connecting flight is with SAS (which is bookable with the Syd-LHR flight on the Qantas website but is not codeshare!)

Can I get access to a lounge? Is the Qantas lounge in T3 accessible as a WP, or is it strictly BA run? I have asked QFF customer service, but have received two different answers.

Anyone have an ideas?

Cheers

Since you are travelling on a flight which is operated by a non OW carrier , you are not entitled to lounge access in LHR

The BA lounges are not joint lounges

I thought as WP you could access any QP on day of travel ( doesnt matter what airline). Ohter wiser flyers can confirm and you may want to print T & C to take with you to lounge entry.

There is no Qantas Club at Heathrow

The anytime access benefit applies *only* to Qantas lounges, it does not apply to lounges of any other airlines and so does not apply at the BA Galleries lounge at T3.

If the traveller had BA Gold status then they would have BA Open Doors lounge access ( BA's equivalent to QF's Platinum benefit ) which would allow for access to the BA Galleries lounges

Taking a copy of the T&Cs would clearly show the lounge agent how he is entitled to no lounge access
