My wife and I are leaving this Friday night for 3 weeks in the US. Flying out of SYD on Hawaiian.

Our memberships that may affect lounge access are as follows:

Qantas Club
Marco Polo Gold
AMEX Platinum (apparently allows access to Virgin lounges but only domestically)
Priority Pass

I did a bit of research and there was some suggestion that the Air New Zealand lounge at SYD supported Hawaiian and may be accessible via my Marco Polo Gold membership. Though it was not clear whether I had to be flying Air New Zealand to access the lounge.

Can anyone confirm whether this is correct or whether other options may exist?

I think based on the CX/NZ agreement you would need to be flying NZ metal to access the lounge.
