So after a rather stressful day and night of flights being cancelled leaving Queenstown I managed to get home to Melbourne via Sydney. In my state though it seems I managed to leave my work jacket at Gate 6 waiting area facing the glass.

Qantas' voicemail system for Lost Property doesn't exactly instil confidence (especially with the third google listing being how they auction off lost property to staff) so I was wondering if anyone is either
A) Near Gate 6 and can go take a look at the seats facing the window to the right of the gate to see if its still under the seat.
or
B) Willing to stop past their lost property desk and see if a blue jacket with "Skydive the Beach and Beyond" embroided on it has been handed in.

I will reward anyone who has it in any way I can.

Or if anyone has any tips on getting Qantas to care about my lost property I will gladly follow them.
I have already left a voicemail with the Sydney found items line.
I called the Melb line too just incase the guy sitting next to me at the gate handed it in there, they recommended I try Brisbane as that is where my plane went next. No luck either.

Thanks. I realise this is a very long shot, but as always in this situation, the jacket isn't important, but the house key in the pocket is!

Always best to talk to a person. The voicemail really is hit and miss. But then so can the staff.I left a jacket in SYD and only realised when I arrived at DPO-as I needed it.The fellow there was fantastic. He got in touch with Sydney lost property and got them to hold it until I returned via SYD.

Nice to know it doesn't all disappear into someone else's closet! Yes I guess I would accept a bit more closure if I could actually speak to someone who is looking at ALL the lost property at Sydney Airport and they tell me it is not there!
