Hello, I was travelling with my four children from Sydney to Melbourne today Thursday 26th August and my handbag is missing. It obviously is of great value to me, but it also has some of my daughters personal cherished belongings which is very upsetting.

Please if you know where my handbag is (red leather) can you send me a post.

I would be very grateful.

Thankyou,

Tina

Tina, sorry to hear of your loss. Your best to contact Qantas baggage services at Melbourne. I've called them before but I don't have their number handy. Simply call Qantas on 131313, advise of your situation and they should transfer you.

Contact the Jetstar office at Tullamarine and they will direct you to lost property. I left my mobile phone on a Jetstar aircraft once (CNS - ADL) , Jetstar rang a contact number on my phone to get a message to me that my phone had been found and was in MEL ! I had to pay for a courier to get it from MEL to ADL , but had it back within 24 hrs.

Did the bag go missing on board your flight? If so did you talk with the Jetstar cabin crew before you got off the plane?

The best way is to contact Jetstar directly on this. Hopefully you will find your handbag intact.

Mrs B thought she left her handbag on the plane.
Jet* staff were helpful in double checking the plane at the time.
However, she had left it in the terminal & the police had secured it (as unattended baggage). Maybe contact the police at the airports, if you have not already done so.

Well, I have a proposal for the next time: you can use your mobile phone to keep an eye on your handbag and notify you when you left it somewhere or it gets stolen.
In order to turn your mobile into your bag keeper you need a small application and a bluetooth headset. A working solution I know is called BluCop.
