Today I received a replacement frequent flyer card in the mail, only I never asked for it (same status, renewal is 6 months away, no change in expiry). On further inspection, my card is not in my wallet, where it usually is.

I tried to confirm with online chat but they have no notes as to why the card was sent out - but it's fairly safe to assume I left the card in a lounge, or possibly an aircraft. That's excellent service though - replacing the card before you know it's lost!

It's a shame there was no notes on my account as to who ordered the card / where it was found, as I'm curious. But saves me ordering a new one.

Maybe someone indeed found the lost card, and sent it to QFF, or dropped it off at a lounge, and/but it wasn't logged onto your file at QFF.
I found a SG QFF card with QCC in the ADL QP about a year ago, and handed it into the front desk.
The mind boggles sometimes.
Guess you don't use QCC.
And no, I don't think that the QFF team are mind readers...
So somthing must have clicked somewhere for that card to come out to you.

you are very lucky.. I did lose my wallet on the street earlier this year, the call centre were very helpful, locked the card including the cash facility, and sent a new card for me free of charge... cant say thanks enough to them :)

I dropped my platinum card at the International terminal in Sydney and a couple of weeks later it arrived in the post with a little note from Qantas. I hadn’t got round to reporting it missing, so it was great service. I dropped it in the transfer area on return, so I assume a staff member picked it up, or a customer handed it in. Little things like that do make you feel good about Qantas - have always appreciated their staff.
