Looming Jet Fuel Shortages?

So we have Paris (via Turkish airlines), Malta, Portugal and Morocco all booked in June/July. Several non cancellable this close. Booked a year ago. Just hope Europe is better at planning than Aus and that we can actually get out of Oz anyway.

Similar situation - we are due to fly SIA - PER/INC end of may. Booked a while back non cancel flights. I feel we will be able to fly out but a bit concerned about getting back. South Korea doesn't have a good fuel situation. There are far worse places to be stuck but using things potentially needed but locals is not a good thing.

LIN is the premium domestic/European airport for Milan, closest to the city. It doesn't have long-haul traffic, but it's pretty significant.

VCE has intercontinental flights to North America and the Gulf. And I think BLQ had flights to/from PHL on AA back before COVID, and also has flights to IST and DXB (although DXB seems likely to be suspended at the moment).

These are not tiny airports.

EK DXB-VCE is operating every other day.

Notably those airports are all in the northern part of Italy, not terribly far apart. TSF is very close to VCE (12 miles apart, per GCMap.com). The supply issues might be regional. (And they might be prioritising MXP for the Milan area, and possibly PSA/FLR over BLQ.)

So MstrQS2 isover in Rome at the moment after working at The Fat Duck.
His itinerary is FCO-LHR (BA) and LHR-SIN-SYD (SQ) (separate tickets)

He has been told that the first sector has been cancelled and the replacement flight means arriving into LHR 2hrs before the second sector.
The reason for the cancellation is apparently "current fuel issues"

BA>SQ at LHR means arriving into UK, get luggage, then Underground or Heathrow Express, then check in.

Hope he makes it as unlikely BA will through check baggage to SQ at LHR.

Go a day earlier? Waiting for luggage at LHR can be up to 45 mins
