Looming Jet Fuel Shortages?

And. Crops in QLd forecast to fall 60% as farmers can’t make a profit. No point planting when prices for their crops are lower than the cost of growing them.

One thing is that if there's not enough fuel to harvest (by late 2026) then the country (and the world) is going to well and truly hurting badly.
But they may not even seed in the first place because that costs them money to do so with very uncertain outcome.

And in the NT where there are no “reported” fuel shortages at servos, many property owners can’t get there due to impassable (boggy from rain) roads and flying staff and food in and out on copters.

I found this site, click AU at the top.

I guess we will know 2-3 weeks ahead when the issues will hit. I really hope Canberra keep us in the loop, however these days we seem to find out via the attached like links, while the Government spends a week writing political statements before announcing it.

It is a counter based on usual fuel consumption rates
Also it is not exactly accurate (though I have not found anything else more accurate) because the data from AU is the DCCEEW data from 17March (see top left hand corner). And it does not appear to have the full expected fuel deliveries.

Most people now believe the Guvment is not being transparent but the DCCEEW will be publishing an update Saturday.

People are still queuing up in their cars to buy coffee in the morning from Maccas.

I hear you. Have trouble reconciling the doom and gloom of inflation, interest rates, mortgage stress in the media and yet some businesses struggling to keep up with UBER Eats orders.

People at partners work on low/medium wages ordering a cup of coffee to be delivered instead of using the provided all singing/dancing machine in the staff room. I wonder how food delivery prices will change with change in fuel prices/availability ?

The 17 March data is the most recent...

The minister just announced 6 ships of jet fuel on the water (from China) and there has been no reduction in expected deliveries previously planned.

Personally I'd rather they just tell the truth and tell everyone to save fuel rather than pretend everything is ok just to avoid panic.
