Looking for reasons to stay with Qantas

I can't think of any reason

Just bumped from 23e on 767 as a platinum to 23e on a 737

Middle row at the back, thanks a lot

Just about to book my next RTW J class, hello Star Alliance

The reason is that they've changed the aircraft and it has the same seat on the new plane. You avoid this by selecting a G or H seat.

23E was an aisle seat on 767 but I get your point

You didn't say WHERE in Asia you fly. CX while not the world's greatest program from the table of contents - does take care of its Diamond members very well. MH has some strange redemption rules (I think it is available fare class based). UL's program is up in the air till the OW joining.

Certainly as QF LTG I would be crediting to some one else after 1200 QF SC. And CX does have plenty of choice exAustralia.

Alas my flying is seriously reducing after this year so the loss of soft landings on AA means I will finally be looking at QF WP. Then hopefully will still have enough flying to credit to AA and maintain PLT. If not I still have LTG with AA. I note the AA program is likely under review but the new bosses don't seem in a great hurry to change things - especially since their FFers are somewhat vocal lot. And the USA has a lot of competition.

Happy wandering

I'm LTG and have pondered the same Q.

I'm more of a Dom flyer with heaps of classic award flights to Asia and other parts of the world. I've decided to stick with QF.

Reason - points are very easy (think ATO) to accumulate therefore, completely offsetting the higher point cost compared to others - I've never had any problems cashing in for 4 x F or J award seats on CX or BA - I love the SYD Flounge - I'm happy to pay for J flights (specials) therefore, increasing my chances of F upgrades.

If the ATO river of gold ceases - I'd probably change.

If you dont mind sitting a few rows back in that front Y cabin, select row 28 or 30 j or k. This means you will also avoid this mapping issue!

I avoid rows 27 or 29 as 9 times out of 10 they are missing windows, I like windows.

Remind me to avoid row 24 on A330s...

I have had two QF flights cancelled this week after arriving at the airport. I'm wondering too!
