Looking for Amsterdam hotel with canal view

Hi all.

Can anyone recommend a hotel in Amsterdam that has great canal views?

The trip is for 2-3 nights in early January 2014. My budget would be €250 max per night and I don't have membership/affiliation with any hotel chain.

I believe that Amsterdam is a great spot to be using Priceline. There are extensive threads on Trip Advisor thaat should give you some good background

Thanks but I've used Priceline a couple of times for AMS already. This time it's about the view more than the price.

Why dont you use priority club points and book intercontinental Amsterdam using 40k points and 70 USD? If there are promos out footprints purchasing you can get the room for about 350aud

We stayed at Banks Mansion in Amsterdam for a few nights. Fantastic place with some lovely views. We especially enjoyed their happy hour (or two) on an evening with great nibbles, various cheese and good beer/wine/port selections. A few very happy hours indeed!
