the regional A350's are a disgrace
Really have you flown this aircraft type. The seat may be different to what most of the SQ flyers are used to, which is the wide seat and the offset cubby footwell that also most complain about. The regional jet (I only have flown it once prior to covid) seems to be follow the standard J offset design (used by other carriers) with a seat width of around 21" and no off set cubby. It is a vast improvement on the old regional jet with recliner seats.

I think they're excellent aircraft for routes like PER, SHA, DEL, BKK, MNL etc. MEL is pushing the friendship a bit (in business, no difference in economy).

But I have seen criticisms of the J seats on the aircraft on the 2 hr route like SIN-BKK. (I don't know how those sort of folk cope with Eurobusiness or even QF/VA J seats on MEL-BNE!)

Yes, narrow and lots of annoying changes that just indicate "cheap" to me, yes it's regional but don't fly it to MEL.

Luckily MEL will become the dumping ground of the older aircraft, like we always do and it's 4 x 77W's daily soon ! :)

I will put it out there MEL/ SYD the dumping ground  try living in SA. Prior to covid I would often travel to SYD or MEL to connect to proper planes (777 or a380s) for out bound sectors. Then also flown back several times on the the coughty a330 x2x2x2 lie flat recliners into SA on the one flight per day. x4 77W's is shear luxury:p

Same for me since moving to BNE. Remember the days when it wasn’t hard to score 2xF/R Saver… Also did that to fly 380 J when 96D/F were reservable upon booking (to non-status members).

All the above not possible any more sadly. These days scoring slightly better J seat is not big enough incentive for me to add another connection.

I have flown the new regional seats prior to covid. They are certainly ok to me. Ideally we should have wide seats, but certainly not a show stopper.

I thought ADL is now serviced with new regional seating for a few years?

The new jet started servicing ADL in 2018, I have only flown into ADL on it once. I was referring to the dumping ground comment, prior to 2018 MEL and SYD had a380's and 777s while ADL had the old regional jet. The other reason I would fly out of MEL or SYD was due 4 flights a day and working in connections was often easier.
