I’m not moving again until Happy Hour, unless it’s to find a better place to laze around and read.. 9B188D4D-8A5F-4085-8789-7EC3B87185F7.jpeg28D95766-F241-4D53-8EBF-2912C0DB498B.jpeg

Oh yum. Is this a Luxury Escape getaway? How many days are you R&R’ing?

Yes it is. Luxury escapes for part of the trip. We originally booked the 5 night pool villa deal, and were going to stay a night each end in CGK, however as I am NOT a fan of overnight stays (I prefer to get To my destination and stay put) ALH decided that we should suck it up and do the travel in one hit. That decision proved very tiring, but now that I’m settled, and rested, I’m pleased we did.
So the first two nights are in a “Beach view” room, which I have to say is really great. Tomorrow we move back from the beach to our one bedroom Private pool villa. A report will follow on which we end up preferring.
We will be here for a total of Seven nights. The five night deal was less than AUD $1,000.00 for the week. (As I recall). We spent another AUD$500.00 for airport transfers both ways (we are an hour from the airport) and the beach front room, (which was a smart move by ALH as this beats CGK I reckon). Even though it rained quite heavily a bit today, it was clear this morning and is clear now. The temperature is about 26 Deg, between 80%-90% humidity, but otherwise very pleasant. Bear In Mind, I have a preference for cool climate holidays. But I am very happy with how this is.
The room is air conditioned, which makes sleeping much easier.
The 5 night deal came with some extras, a 3 course lunch for two (the food here is really good) two spa treatments each, and a dinner for two. We would usually look to go off site to eat , but so far are not inclined to do so.
The resort restaurant meals are about AUD $10.00 per plate , beer for about $5.00 a small bottle. We have wine with us, and you can bring two bottles (wine or spirits ) per person in , and the limit is “strictly” enforced. We chose not to do so, but we were gifted a nice bottle of Australian Red en route. We are about to head off to “Happy Hour” now that we are both properly rested and caught up on our sleep.
More later ........

7 glorious days of doing NOTHING..

I envy you (both)…my stopped limit is about half a day.. after that have to do…something….

I used to be the same, but 2017 really threw me some life changing curve balls. I’ve decided to take some relaxing trips in between my adventure travels and just loll around with GPH and do nothing for a week.

Finally managed to put down my book, and stroll a whole15 metres to the beachside bar for happy hour. Have educated GPH on the healthy delights of Pina Colada’s. Tomorrow’s challenge: Long Island Iced Tea. Day three: Espresso Martini

PS: You would not want to be GF, Vegan or have any “food-fussy” issues here. The menu is amazing and I may need 4 weeks to try everything.

Cosmos are my go to drink (I like a pomegranate one as it’s not too sweet) but sometimes feel a bit hesitant in case people think I’m a SITC fan.
Thankfully the series has been gone for a while.

Food looks delish ALH. Hope you have a wonderful week of creative inertia.
Oh. I am a blatant fan of that show. My favourite ‘what shall I watch as I’m bored’.
But I drink coughtails far too quickly.
I love pina coladas until I checked the calorie count! Yowsers.

I’ve never seen the show, but I know why JessicaTam is teasing me about the Cosmo’s.

Stay tuned!

Don’t ruin Pina Colada’s for me Pushka! I don’t care about the calories. Ha ha

We have now moved to the villa with pool
The pros are, much Larger room, bigger bathroom, a few extra little things like more complimentary water. The private pool is really great, 1.6 m deep veranda area slightly larger and better appointed.
Much more private as well

The lack of an onshore breeze means the pool and garden area is a bit warmer.
On balance, I prefer the privacy and extra space of the villa.

I know. Mucked it up for me. Just make em small, even if you have more!

I’ve never understood those ladder thingies in the bathroom. They are abundant in Bali.
