Fantastic weather. Although I’m not a fan of the jar kind of glassware at all.

That’s the Qunci signature coughtail, and it’s very good.

Yes, the weather has been perfect. We’ll aim for between April - June every year.

Thanks for this great TR GPH! It has inspired me to travel to Lombok. Looks so nice!

Couple of questions - would you recommend the Quinci?

Are the in-house meal and drink prices high? And if so are there options nearby?

Tripadvisor has a few reviews of people complaining about morning prayers, is it really that loud?

Thanks
M

Morning prayers are very low key (as far as I’m concerned) and not an issue.
This isn’t necessarily a super cheap place to stay. BUT subscribe to Luxury escapes, watch for the deals, our reason for going here is to do absolutely nothing for a week. But there are things to do if you get bored with eating, sleeping, reading, eating, drinking , sleeping...... you get my drift
Beer is cheap, food is great, not expensive, breakfast is included. (And you can have ore than ne breakfast)
The danger is not sharing, meals, we found that a shared meal was plenty .
There isn’t a lot of meat Like we see in Australia) on the menu. Happy hour from 5.00 -7.00 1/2 price coughtails is good value.
In any event (muppet) we can share our experience when we catch up next .

You can run across the road for cheap food and drink, but we didn’t want to leave the day beds along the beachfront to forage for food.

7 days of beers, lunches, coughtails, canapés & dinners left us with a final bill of $ 800 and we didn’t hold back at all. We think that’s pretty reasonable. 2 of those dinners were beach BBQs.

We didn’t drink any wine as pretty ordinary bottles were $ 80 to $ 100. That was the only expensive item that we could see.

An hour Couples massage on the beach was $ 35, and a 1 hour reflexology massage in the Resort Spa was $ 29.

The only time I really noticed the morning prayers was on Friday, but it’s not so loud or long that it’s intrusive.

If you keep an eye on Luxury Escapes, they have some pretty reasonable deals.

Garuda Business Class Return DPS/LOP was $ 170 each and the best value for money; with priority check in, boarding, premium luggage collection and lounge access.

Great TR. brought back some nice memories.
I stayed at Quinci in January 2017. Can definitely recommend this hotel in Lombok.

Currently planning another week at Qunci Villas even though it’s only been 2 months since the last visit. The staff are wonderful and welcoming. We just love being able to totally relax and enjoy massages with the sea breeze cooling our skin. coughtail hour & Canapés every evening, leisurely swims in the infinity pools whilst enjoying the sunsets over Bali. Midnight baths under the frangipani trees and stars! Ah. Bliss

Gorgeous pics. I lived in Indonesia for 3 years and loved every minute of it. Those food shots have taken me back there! Terimah kasih banyak and enjoy the rest of your trip.

Really enjoyed these two TRs as well! I think Lombok will be back on the cards for Mr and Mrs Excel. We spent a week on Gili T and only noticed the beauty of the mainland after transiting through it to fly rather than boat back to DPS. Not sure I'd fly Lion again, even for a 20 minute hop, so Garuda it may be!
