Place we went to today didn't show up until I'd made the purchase. But other places I've never shopped at are in the app. Seems a bit hit and miss.

Has anyone got point posted for their local champion. I been to different places, and the app keep saying I still hasn't earn any points from my local champion.

With the previous local champion my points usually posted straight away!...

I've had a couple of transactions now where the app shows that I'm the local champion, but I've only received the normal points, one had the local champion bonus points come through 2 days later in a separate line entry, the others are still missing.

I've had a couple of transactions now where the app shows that I'm the local champion, but I've only received the normal points, one had the local champion bonus points come through 2 days later in a separate line entry, the others are still missing.

According to Amex, LC points at posted approx. 2-4 days after the transaction. Before the updated app, points were credited within 24 hours (or at least that's what I found).

Maxed out 10k under previous promotion (earlier this year) but resubscribed and became LC again last Friday at a few places I frequent. Normal points posted today but no LC bonus as yet. Fingers crossed.

What is Local Champion? I was under the impression Local Champion was someone who spent the most at any given store. This sounds different and doesn't seem wortwhile for someone who doesn't shop a lot?

John, Local Champion is based on number of transaction not total amount spent.

I only spend a few dollars a day on work days only at the Coles closest to my work but have been Local Champion there for the last 6 months. Same story with the Supermarkets close to home where I maintain it by breaking up shops at the self check out into a few transactions every now and again.

I wouldn't be anywhere near the highest spender at these stores.

You just need to register the store within the Amex app as you can't do it online as far as I am aware..

They haven't in the past. The supplementary transaction get the local champion points, but they don't add to the local champion transaction total.

Mine haven't been coming through, I emailed, but they were less than helpful and told me to wait 90 days. I asked them how am I supposed to keep track of them over that long considering I may gain and lose the local champion title multiple times in that 90 day period. Waiting for a response. I also asked what had changed in the system, because local champion points used to always appear when the regular points were listed.

It was good how they used to appear immediately - I hope they bring that back as an update.

Mine are coming through in blocks daily.

Last Friday (20th) posted on Tuesday and so on....

But what I have noticed is regular points are taking 1-2 days extra to now post (online) and while regular points appear overnight (midnight onwards) that the 'local champion bonus' seems to be applied between 6-6:30pm. I'm seeing all the points i'm expecting to post but it’s all just taking a little longer.

Is there only one local champion per store or can the store control this? I am the local champion at the local Coles and whilst shop there often I wouldn't think I would be the most regular shopper.

It appears I can only add stores via location rather than stores I have spent with in the past, which is different to the last promo.
Or am I doing something wrong?
