Little things I like

But, it's obviously on its way out, so maybe you should replace it anyway. :D
I spent most of the work day yesterday researching current TVs. But two days ago I paid for my Morocco tour, and booked another cruise, sooooo.....

Just back from holidays so this might have been running for a while but good to see Cathay showing a cinema ad for their Economy Class. Most airlines prefer to promote the pointy end of the plane so this was refreshing. Mind you, I think I saw a passenger (actor) wearing a A$600 pair of headphones - hardly your typical Y pax.

Little things? ;) Decided I'm too old for tents, finally. So for my sporting travels I just bought a TINY caravan... 9 feet long, tare under 700kg, and no canvas! Weather did NOT cooperate for its first test use. No leaks though so a useful exercise perhaps?1753513256778.png

Got home from work, TV works :(

What was that? The TV works?

It’s a no brainer these days comparing tv. Just buy the latest LG C3 (etc) OLED. Stunning TVs.

It's attention to detail indeed, but it also explicitly shows off how many Japanese are trained to check for everything, i.e. with very deliberate handling and pointing.

Most Western cultures would be taught to observe and check the same things, except they would just eyeball it rather than point to it or touch it. Some may go through a checklist by speaking out loud.

Deciding to stay at the same hotel I stayed last time in Adelaide because it was well priced despite a not so good experience last time I was there.

Senior receptionist unprompted recognising the name and comp’ing me one night for coming back again. 👌
Please share the name of the hotel

So what I thought was a travel mistake

Today I got an email from the parking at Heathrow refunding me my £6 - no idea why but I'm happy

LTIL -: As a follow-up to my post in the WCMO thread, I've found a suitable replacement rangehood (out of the minimal suitable options on offer) and just managed to get Appliances Online to price match a competitor who had that model on sale for almost $90 less. Even better, Appliances Online will deliver for free tomorrow and and remove the old equipment (provided I can disconnect from power and remove it from the wall in time). Quick and easy to organise the price match + purchase and all things being equal, I should have the new rangehood installed tomorrow or Wednesday (i.e. when I can get to doing it).

Couple weeks back went to checkin for my JQ flight MEL-BNE and app asks me if I want to select a seat (for added fee of course). Problem! On the original booking I had paid for exit row seat 1A.

Jumped into text function on the JQ app and politely asked what was going on, what happened to the seat I paid for. Moments later sincere apologies we had a schedule change and that seat wasn't available, can I put you in exit row 19A. I said ok thanks as long as I get leg room and then saw the operator had cleaned out 19ABC and put me in 19A - had the row to myself. Win!!!

Is that a little Avan?
I've been looking at those for a while. Enjoy.
Sorry, yes. Its the smallest they make, the "Sportliner". Comes in various configurations, but I bought mine used so had no choice....still...the slim single bed at each end, with a central fridge/microwave/stove/sink arrangement suits me well enough. 1756139561443.png1756139497620.png
