Whereas in NZ the only exception to the xray every bag is if it has been hand searched (and even then they sometimes xray also to check for hidden compartments).
LOL! That is the first time I have heard someone drinking a beer to overcome the effects of ouzo. It is quite acceptable to drink ouzo on ice or straight water and I am sure George would have allowed this option. If you let it sit long enough the water does reduce the fire in the belly. Oh well, next time.NM said:I did try some, as George would not let me just hold the glass and toss it on the grass while he was not looking. And of course he would not allow it to be mixed with softdrink. I was very glad to reach for another beer to extinguish the fire in my belly.
There won't be a next time! I will find a way to drop the glass or some other backup plan. Ice is reserved for a decent scotch. I'll stick to that for my fire in the belly.JohnK said:Oh well, next time.
