Hi all

I have an upcoming trip to India that is currently being planned. In an effort to control costs I have also postponed a trip to Hong Kong that I was planning.

I am now thinking of routing to India via Hong Kong and spending a day or three In Hong Kong.

I am wondering the best way to book this. I checked out the CX prices to BOM from HKG and that came out at aorund $3200 and if I booked a DAS13 that could get me to HKG for around $5900 - total $9100. This is not far off the cost that I was quoted for a trip to India.

I am wondering the bets way to book this. I guess if I book separate tickets then I run risks of missed connections but I am not sure a TA would let me book a nested HKG-BOM-HKG flight (as well as a BOM-Chennai-BLR-BOM flight).

Any thoughts/guidance on the best way to book this?

I've nested flights within xONEx's several times.

Should not be an issue; you can even get information segments inserted into the respective bookings if you desire.

I would leave 18-24 hours between the flight segments of the different bookings - what better place to spend this time other than at Honkers ...

I was wondering whether a TA would book the tickets as part of the same itinerary though....
