Link Airways announcing across their social media accounts the launch of flights between Sydney and Tamworth in June. Looks to be a 2x daily service on the Saab.

I’m surprised they’re willing to try going up against QantasLink given they have a very limited network (Inverell & Narrabri) out of Sydney currently. Maybe there’s a gap with the Virgin ATR’s gone? Interesting timing too now they’re operating SYD-CBR for Virgin. Also, weren’t Rex looking at this route among others in retaliation to QF’s regional expansion?

Probably would also open opportunities with Virgin to codeshare on the Link service between SYD-TMW, tbh, amongst other routes that Link operates.

There's also Bonza ex-MEL and Brisbane North.. (I mean MCY/Sunshine Coast ;)) from Tamworth later in Q3 2022.
