So (as usual) I'm a little confused about Link Airways. When I book with Virgin CBR - SYD it's on one of the small, noisy Saab planes, operated by Link. "Virgin" also markets a Link flight to Hobart direct from Canberra once in a while.
Is Link actually a Virgin subsidiary?

My question mostly revolves around baggage. I generally travel light or drive, but sometimes I like to go hiking in Tasmania for a few days, and for that I need multiple bags.

As a Platinum, I get 3 x 23kg bags on normal Virgin flights, but apparently on Link my status means nothing nada zip, so I get only one.... what's everyone's experience with this > could I get two on, or has Virgin stiffed us again?

So the direct flight - if so - is useless, and I'm stuck taking two flights on jets; which used to be fine when you got SCs for each flight, but absolutely zero benefit from that now. Thanks again, Velocity.
