Hi I'm wondering if there's a cap on how many frequent points you can accumulate.

I recently took advantage of the 15% bonus so now I've got 988,000 velocity points. Though I'm not interested in buying toasters etc.

Can't see why there would be any hard limits... I wouldn't want to have so much "invested" in such a low-value currency, though. My favourite points are the ones I've already used.

Nup - see this post:
I flushed 1.5 M warehoused Citi Rewards points into VA to get a net 1.15 M points transfer (including the 15% bonus) so I am a multi but still holding my lovely red status card. VA Any Seat has never made sense to me so I just book J class flights mainly for my sons when QF have zilch. ...

.

Only limit is the airline going bust!

Most I have moved was at once was 1.5 million to SQ when they had a bonus going. My 3 daughters are older though now and so I no longer need to book 5 J's at once. I only move points when I am likely to book in the near futre.

I have passed on this VA deal though as I already have my next two holidays redeemed, and I have 200K at SQ that will start to expire just after mid year and so I will need to redeem using those.

May seem it to a single traveller but we are a family of four and we could chew through those pretty quickly too. About to spend 318600 at the discounted rate on one one way leg. Would have loved some of those points for the other leg.
