Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

However, our point harvesting is plentiful so I've decided to cease worrying about status ... have QF Plat sorted until 2017 after that - points will replace what status once delivered.

Hard to disagree.
If you're flying for largely for leisure and mostly in F a few times a year on points (or otherwise), you wouldn't really have a need for status.

Of course we'd love to have you flying with us as much as possible. However we appreciate that you do have a choice, and that everyone's circumstances, priorities and opinions are different. We encourage you to get the most out of your relationship with us, and hope you enjoy the products and services we offer at each tier status. :)

The problem is Red Roo that my priorities are the same (i.e. choose QF whenever possible), and my opinion is still the same (i.e. still like QF the best) but my circumstances have changed (not by me but by QF ) because you don't fly into/out of Perth. It is now impossible for me to maintain WP each year because of this. So what am I to do given I have LTG. With no chance at all of reaching WP because QF have forced me to fly with someone else why would I not credit my domestic flights to someone else and consider another airline (or indeed alliance) that does indeed fly out of Perth!

Its no good saying once we return to profitability we will re-instate PER-SIN, for me that will be too late as I need to start gaining status in another airline right now and that will flow on to my domestic flights.

If you did bring in a headstart to WP for LTG flyers then that would be the incentive I need to keep me flying QF domestically which is what I genuinely want to do. This would have to be one of the best ideas to come from this forum.

I said as much to Lesley and also to Stephen Thompson at the Perth meet and greet.

I know I am guilty of harping on this my last few posts but it is an issue of major importance for Perth people that I don't think QF or those of us based in SYD, MEL or BNE understand.

Hit LTG >12 months ago and always thought I'd move over to another scheme ... BA firmed as the best option (even with the stupid address requirement) after AA started to enforce the 4 flight rule.

However, our point harvesting is plentiful so I've decided to cease worrying about status ... have QF Plat sorted until 2017 after that - points will replace what status once delivered.

There are options in au to earn avios at near 1 per $... And of course avios are worth considerably more than qff points.
