I wonder if anyone can help me...

I'm flying from London to Auckland Via Singapore and Sydney. The London to Singapore leg is with BA and the rest is Quantas.
BA are being a bit vague on what I'm supposed to do regarding luggage and boarding cards.
Has anyone done a similar type of routing? Will BA give me boarding cards for the whole journey? (one of their 'customer service' bods told me I would need to go to the Quantas desk in LHR, another said to go to the one in Singapore, another said BA would do the whole lot!) I'm also hoping, as they tell me, the luggage will get all the way to Auckland and not get lonely on some tarmac in Singapore or Sydney!

The time is quite tight in Sydney so I want to be as prepared as possible! If anyone can help, I'd love to hear from you!

Cheers!

BA will check the baggage through to the final destination so no need to worry about luggage at Singapore

As far as boarding passes goes, if they can issue the boarding passes for the Qantas SIN-SYD-AKL, they will though you may find that you have to go to the service desk at Singapore to collect your onward boarding passes. If this is the case, it is not too big a deal and won't cause any issues
