Couple of interesting letters this week.

Qantas gets its new, larger and more fuel-efficient A380 aircraft, but chooses not to share any of the benefits with economy-class passengers. Look at the seating plan. In the same amount of space, there are 14 first-class, about 30 business-class and 78 (yes, 78!) economy-class seats. From the majority of your customers, thanks for nothing.

What is Margaret Nelson (Letters, October 2) complaining about? First-class passengers on the Qantas A380 pay up to 6.8 times as much but get only 5.6 times the space the greedy economy passengers hog. If one class has a legitimate gripe, it is the poor business travellers. They pay up to 5.2 times as much, but get only 2.1 times the space.
