Less than Good experience on SQ out of Dubai

Scoot pilots didn't get the memo. Quite bumpy at times but no seatbelt sign for the duration of SYD-SIN.
Ah well I have been on SCOOT and even with seat belt signs on the CC did not bother about pax walking around or going to the loo. Awful airline. Never again.

We flew Per/Sin this morning. Seatbelt sign was left on for about 90 minutes after a couple of bumps. In general was put on very quickly and taken off very slowly. Cabin crew told to ' continue service with caution' on several occasions.

I forgot to mention that about 5 minutes after takeoff - at 0630 - the 787 windows were dimmed and not undimmed until about 5 minutes before arrival at 1130.

Did anyone enquire why?

No. Some windows were brightened by the pax but ours was locked. There was no drinks cart service after the initial breakfast run only trays of cups of water bought around a couple of times. But at least they did give out hot towels in Y - unlike our last SQ J flight in late 2024.

At a guess I’d say many pax wouod be wanting to snooze? 0630 departure means airport at 0400. Probably up to get ready at something like 2am.

Might as well snooze on the plane and hit the ground running in SIN than arriving exhausted?

On our flight back to Perth on SQ last night the Seat Belt Sign was used very little. The usual twitches and bumps were ignored and it was only used once in cruise when there was a more significant twitch that did justify it. However it was only on for a couple of minutes and then turned off again.

The only interesting thing was that the cabin was 'prepared for landing' probably two or three times as far out from Perth than is normal. However on the ground in Singapore the pilot had warned us that there had been reports of some strong turbulence around Perth. This warning was repeated about 40 minutes from Perth. In the end it was a smooth approach but there were certainly storm cells around as we had significant lightning and thunder this morning so his caution was probably justified. Actually the touch down itself was incredibly smooth and my 8 year old grandson slept through it.
