So I just got called by an AccorPlus Le Club sales guy. I ended up registering, but I'm not sure if I'll see the benefits and wanted to get some more veteran feedback for how they use the program and where you see the benefits please.

1. $349/year AUD
2. Auto upgrade to a Silver member (not sure if this stays every year I pay, or I have to keep staying at hotels to gain status etc)
3. The 50% off for 2 dinners at Accor Restaurants (could see this to be quite beneficial, but I haven't seen what actual places they own to see if I'll go there)
4. Accor Points can be moved over to Qantas
5. As a silver member I earn more points per dollar (although the sales guy said everything is in Euros so couldn't tell me the exact earn rate)
6. 50% off on hotel stays?

I don't regularly stay in hotels. Maybe 10-15 nights a year max, so the hotel discounts didn't really grab my attention, although 50% off is a good deal. Can you become a Le Club member for free (like how you get Qantas FF membership from Woolies and it's also free?) or do you have to pay for this Le Club membership? I couldn't understand the difference between paying $349 and what I go, compared to just signing up for free... and what I'd get.

Thanks!

The only real reason to sign up to this is the up to 50% off when dining in the restaurants. (You do not need to be staying ) Reasonable value can be made of this, plus one free night comes in handy.

If none of this appeals use the cooling off period and get your money back. Personally I have got more value out of than it cost, but I do eat out lot

Thanks. I'll have to review the list of restaurants they have in Sydney and see if it's worthwhile.

Appreciate the comments.
