Hi all,

Just curious to see if anyone has any reccomendations for limos (ie. sedans not stretched :D, sadly I'm neither famous or pretentious enough for a stretch!) from LAX to Beverly Hills. Theres plenty to choose from when you google it but I'm curious if anyone has experince with any particular companies.

Cheers,

Alex

You might struggle to find a limo company in LA... there aren't very many around.

Hi Uzza

When I was last in LAX (Westin LAX) I just went dow to concierge and asked him to find me a limo ('towncar') to take me to Universal Studios. He rang around to get the cheapest and voila, 20 minutes later a nice big black new limo rolled up. The driver even gave me a guided tour of LA to and from my destination. Cost was about $80 AUD return (when dollar was 92c last year).

Th cost of two one way taxi fares cost slightly more, not to mention the state of the vehicle and timing etc.

Best way to do this is to organise through your hotel concierge. A well-connected concierge can organise discounts, upgrades and throw in special treats.

I've personally had good dealings with these people:

If taking a taxi, just head across to LAX itself and catch one from there. Taxi fares to/from the airport are set, and LAX to Westwood is approx $25 (a bit more for BH/WeHo etc). Out of the airport this jumps up to more than $50 by the meter.

Thanks Guys!

Essentially We're trying to find the best value limo to pick us up from LAX when we arrive and take us to our hotel (Beverly Hilton). There's no shortage of companies out there, one company that did catch my eyes was GoSedan - Airport Town Car Service for Transportation to LAX BUR LGB ONT SNA and SAN Airports. they seem pretty reasonable as the fare includes a tip (albeit 18%) so I guess we'd just add tax on top. I'm just curious to see whether many others have had dealings with companies (Ex LAX) or any to avoid - I can imagine that there would be a few hooror stories out there from unsuspecting PAX.
