Great but just missed out having to spend last saturday in the admirals club

Another reason to keep WP card.

After your QF transpac flight clear customs recheck bag, resecurity at TBIT then use QF F Lounge then use new walkway to T4 for connecting flight. This mean more time in F Lounge. Maybe allow 10 minutes to get to gate or 20 minutes to get to remote AEagle flights via Gate 44

Just used it, arrived into remote terminal from DEN-LAX (landed 1245pm local). Next flight is AA73 from terminal 4 at 950pm. Have some work to do but don't want to spend all day in T4!

So easy. No added security, and now ensconced in the business lounge: FAR nicer than admiral's in T4. Then a leisurely stroll back again to T4 in time for for flight

GREAT improvement, LAX TBIT gets better every time I come through.

Do you know where the secure walkway is from T4 to T5,6,7?

And for those with no eligibility to AA Flagship lounge and therefore limited to the Admirals you can now more easily use QF J lounge which has the showers!!

Additionally for those with checked luggage through to OZ but no boarding pass - 2 PNR itinerary, Im hoping there is no security at the entrance to the walkway at T4 end so you can get your boarding pass from the QF/OW lounges!

Great news indeed :)
Also better for VA to Delta (but no arrival eligibility to Star Alliance TBIT lounge as onward flight as with non Star Alliance member Delta and this lounge is predeparture access only for VA pax who would otherwise have eligibility).
Delta to VA - is good too but those with through checked luggage but no boarding passes will still have to check in at T3. I dont think Star Alliance lounge can issue VA boarding passes.

Slightly off topic but we will presumably be using this walkway after we arrive from our AA flight from MIA and connect to QF to BNE.

We're in J and have several hours to spend at the airport. What would be the best lounge to use. It's many years since we've been here.

Thanks for your suggestions.

I would think our luggage will be checked through but have 2 PRNs as flights booked separately.

Don't know where other connectors are, but showers and food was exactly why I went to Oneworld J lounge in TBIT!

There was no security on the walkway today (in either direction).

Depends on what lounge eligibility you have. But assuming you have lounge eligibility, the Qf lounges are much better than the AA lounges.
As suggested by the previous posts there does not appear to be security preventing you using the new walkways without a boarding pass. So just get boarding passes from the lounges. I think you can use the lounge desk to get a boarding pass even if you are not eligible to use the lounge. Also make sure that Qantas enters into their computers your luggage tag receipt numbers.

Sanne is in J,
so has Class of Service access to the AAdmirals Club in T4 and the oneworld Business Lounge in TBIT.
The TBIT lounge is much nicer.

Generally they won't do it if you aren't eligible to enter the lounge.
