Re: LAX Lounge access for OWE

I visited this lounge recently, and aside from the Sierra Nevada Pale Ale on tap there's nothing of note to report. Food selection is mediocre (like the basic AA Admiral's Club), there are no showers and the desk staff seemed quite rude. Better than sitting in the terminal I guess, but only because of the beer...
We found the guy on the desk to be very polite and friendly - you must have caught a grumpy one!

Re: LAX Lounge access for OWE

Terrific. I'm hopping up to SJC next month on Horizon (Alaskan) with a QF flight number.

Care to review the lounge in T6? :)

The lounge is quite average compared to Australian Qantas lounges, but comfortable enough. There are no showers. There is a small selection of wine and spirits, and beer on tap, that you can order for free (a maximum of 3 but we only had one so don't know if you could get more), and a selection of premium drinks for a price. There is a Starbucks coffee machine (no charge) and a selection of fruit and bagels/cakes for free and other food can be ordered at a charge. Wifi is free although a little slow, and there is a small business centre.

If you can't get access to the Board Room there are a few fairly comfortable looking bars in T6.

Re: LAX Lounge access for OWE

Thanks

Not sure I'd want a beer at 7am after a 14hr flight and LAX has free wifi that's fairly reliable in the terminal.

Might check out the other offerings. Pity the in-n-out burger isn't open for breakfast!
