What's up with the LAX-HNL seat availability on the AA/QF flights in mid June? every class bar F is showing 0 on expert flyer and seat counter. Is this a mistake? or is it really legit? I want to change a DCIR29 flight date and nothing nearby is possible...

Another possibility if there is no availability when you want it is to look at LAX-KOA or LAX-OGG on AA and then pay for connections from Kona or Kahalui to HNL on HA they codeshare with AA I think so you may get AA points. It won't cost all that much.

AA.com shows very limited availibility on June 14, 17, 19, 21, 22. Looks like the issue is an aircraft change to 757's on flights normally serviced by 763's. This means that they have lost some 30 - 40 seats on each of their 4/5 daily flights. I notice the gradual return to 763's from August/September. Could be seasonal schedule switch (which is not normal on this route) or the last of the 763's getting the new cabin fitout, or something else etc... Anyway they are short on seats due to equipment change.

I would suggest its the something else since the 763 cabin upgrade completed several months ago.

Apparently so, maybe 763's switched onto 777 routes while they get cabin upgrades or as I said "something else etc." Thats not really the issue anyway, it's the equipment change to 757's that's the likely cause of the seat shortage.

It's the beginning of the US summer school holidays
