Yes I did notice the return of the bread roll.

In truth I'm more happy with the current arrangement if I must choose. I would prefer a bread roll than an ice cream, considering that for me the ice cream is purely a bit of a sugar rush/dessert after the meal and that can easily be substituted with a chocolate bar purchased at the airport, if I so wish (I try to keep on with me on every sector, never know when one might get peckish!)

Its all carbs, and I have had the odd bread roll that's harder than the ice cream .

Note this comment down, because you will, eventually. :p

Oh, you will care, Must…Fly!, you will care!
It may take another 21 years, but every little, tiny carb that you consume has written your name down and they will come back and find you!:mrgreen:

My next Bday will be my 21st anniversary of turning 21 and all I can say is "Heed the words the others have posted here!!!!!" ;)

Oh well, it's a good thing I drink spirits not beer :p

I used to have a carb in my car engine. It was a good and useful thing (Holly 650 :)). Now its all electronic and the carb has been removed. Is that a good thing? Does that mean cars a better for me now? What if I don't eat a whole one in one sitting?

Now you're just being silly!
Carbs in a car engine - whatever will they think of next?
Definitely not a BBQ…

Ah, carbs. Too many and I end up looking like a cereal box.. no waist.
Now on the comping thing.. I just got demoted at 1185 SCs at the beginning of March.. pretty mean. No prior email. Reckon its worth enquiring if they can prop me back up to WP?

Ouch thats harsh I would have gone for a status run.... I was gonna say shame on QF for not comping you..... but shame on you as an AFF member for letting it happen!

Maybe pull out the "I hate that you withdrew the Hong kong route and am considering shifting all my travel to Virgin" card if they stall.

Haha. True, true. I did go on a trip to HK and was intending to do a TPE status run, but circumstances forbade it.. my friend who lives there was only in town for the first two days and I wanted to spend some time with her, catching up.. her grandmother had just passed on and my mum has been newly diagnosed with advanced cancer, so we had a lot of catching up to do (and a lot of drinking!). Then as she left I had to meet my other friend at the airport, who has been away for months.. I guess I chose people over status. It felt great at the time.. but now I'm SG.. darn it. Great tip, Must...Fly!. They did just reply to my whinge about the PER-HKG axing, so perhaps it wouldn't be that much of a stretch.

Whey did they say? Was it a generic pre prepared "we are sorry, better service our loyal customers such as yourself, expand our Asian network, Qantas group, yada yada yada???

Or did you get a personal response?

It was a personal response, basically saying that they appreciate how disappointing it is to see the flight go, but that they are undergoing major changes to reduce costs to keep the international network viable. They said they'd send it on to Snr Management to inform future reviews. I reiterated that a schedule change for better connections might make all the difference.
