Lateline Business - 21/02/2008: Ali Moore speaks to Geoff Dixon
Many issues are discussed, including the FF scheme, the 747 drip tray problem and higher oil prices.

Lateline Business said:
ALI MOORE: If we look at frequent flyer is that new ownership structure that you're talking about a listing?

GEOFF DIXON: We're not talking about any ownership structure; we just said we had the options to look at a new ownership structure if that's what will provide shareholder value to our current shareholders. Yes, that could be an option, there's two or three options.

With a healthy balance sheet and obviously a profit making cost centre in QFF there is discussion that this may be spun off and a decision could be made by November. I wonder if this is just talk or whether it will become reality.

I didn't know that Geoff Dixon was only going to stay on until the middle of next year. He mentions no intention of carrying on so Qantas will need a replacement CEO.
