This will hopefully reduce the historical problems with LAN delays - they have not exactly had a good record for these trans-pacific trips. But why on earth would you choose their 787 hard product on a route done by QF with 747's?

EDIT: and maybe I am old school, but this is still a route that is pushing the max. I enjoy the comfort of QF's four engines and Qf pilots over the two engines and south american pilots that LA offers - and in saying that I do respect that LA have decent pilots.

It was mentioned that they are rolling out a new J product although this may take up to 2 years. Would be interesting to see how it is.

Hopefully it is better than their current product - their J "lie-flat" seats are great - as long as you are sub-6foot - otherwise they are a nightmare.

Does anyone know what time check in for LA800 opens?
