I received a notification from LATAM (which is largely but not wholly in bankruptcy admin) that LATAM Argentina will cease all operations 'indefinitely'. Looks like Argentinian domestic flights will all cease and refunds are being provided. LATAM operated quite a few domestic flight routes and provided a viable alternative to AR.

The overseas connections will be operated by other LATAM divisions and will continue when the COVID crisis eases.

See screen snip below for more info if you're interested :)

LATAM are really in strife. Has anyone seen the latest - there are "special" flights being run by LATAM from MEL and SYD to SCL on 29 and 26 June respectively? Are these one-off? What was odd was that on the various options being offered, the return leg back to Australia was being run by Qantas. Given our borders are supposedly closed, don't know who is (or thinks they are) flying on these other than South Americans looking to return home.

I guess the LATAM voucher that @RooFlyer got is now worth the same as my Ansett shares.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Not me? Or maybe I've already mentally written it off in my mind :(
You must have blocked it out -your seat was broken so they moved you and gave you a $$$ voucher, only to end up with the exact same seat that was working perfectly.

Santiago to Easter Island :)

Ah! yes :) . And yes, it expired unused (being good for just a year).

Great memories of that trip and meeting you and +1 on the flight. :)
