LATAM Airlines Website Bug Resulted In Wrong Date Booked

Probably a weird question but my partner recently (thought) she booked a flight from AKL -> SYD on the 24th of February. It was to our surprise today when we checked the booking reference and found that the entire itinerary had been cancelled. When we called customer support, they said it was because we had missed the outbound flight which was supposed to be today (23rd of February).

We were pretty surprised by this, since we were almost 100% positive we booked for the 24th of Feburary. After playing around with the LATAM website again, we found this bug where the date picker selection was off by one (i.e selecting 24th would result in 23rd being selected). Here's a video demonstrating what we saw. When asking around, we had a friend tell us they also ran into the same issue (although they managed to catch it immediately after booking).

Is there anything we can do in this situation? I understand it's probably our responsibility for checking the correct dates before booking, but it's pretty frustrating that a bug like this causes us to lose an entire itinerary (and a last minute replacement flight costs around $750 AUD at the moment). This is partially just me ranting given I know the only thing we can probably do is file a case through their website and wait for a response... but man, what a way to ruin a weekend 😭

I don’t have any advice on how correct the booking, just sympathy. My partner was signing up for LATAM Pass yesterday and the date of birth field was exhibiting the exact same off by one bug!
