Last Minute Status Credit Flight Options?

I have a family member (based in CBR) who is Qantas Gold and has just realised he is 40 status credits short to keep it. His year ends at the end of Feb.

Has anyone just happened to spot some really economical flights that would be worth taking? The other option is obviously the green tier but he would need to fulfil 5 of those and I presume some would not deliver the status credits within the needed time period.

Any current flight options happily considered!

How much is Gold worth to him? CBR-SYD in J is $565 at the moment, that'd get 40, then get home however cheapest.

That is a really good idea. He could get Murrays back easily.
