So it seems I have left my easter trip planning too late. I am off from 2nd April to 6th April and have been trying to book a quick getaway but everything is so expensive! I was hoping for Bali perhaps using my QFF points (I have 130,000) but there's no availability, ditto for Queenstown. Fares are going for over $1000, so that's a no go for a couple of days.

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for a getaway?

This is the situation: 5 days off, 130,000 QFF points, no velocity points unfort. Ideal holiday is somewhere beachy (but also open to other ideas like Queenstown, main criteria is relaxation). Can do both Aus and Overseas. Ideally would leave on night of wednesday the 1st and come back on night of the 6th. Don't want to pay too much for flights (which seems impossible at this point!) or go anywhere TOO far because it's only 5 days after all . All ideas appreciated!

Any (JQ) Japan deals on offer?
What kind of budget are we talking?

Sorry should have included location. Located in Sydney! Budget wise don't want to pay more than $600, which seems like a big ask at this point!

What about Gold Coast? JQ still have flights $69 each way (if you come back a day early - otherwise jump up to $300 odd)

If you want Bali, there's a possibility XT will operate MEL-DPS by then as CASA is about to announce their decision. Once approval is sent, XT will fly immediately, dumping many seats to DPS and hopefully the others follow too. However if you don't want to risk it, it's probably better to find cheap fares to Queensland.
