I have been looking at random dates later this month and also in September and I can not find a single flight on LAN.com. Glitch or more GFC cutbacks?

I hope it is a glitch as I have a booking for Dec :!:

Tomorrow is the last SYD-AKL that it shows as far as I can see.

Seems to be working when you search on the US version of the site. Comes up in USD though.

About 1 month ago they were still selling SYD<=>AKL for as far as Oct 2009 ... I think it is just a website glitch ...

Family & I flew codeshare QF321 on 6th of July to AKL.
I was excited about flying LAN for the first time and having individual movie screens. But....
The Y food was very ordinary - made QF stuff look excellent - that I could handle.
They turned to AV system off 45 minutes out from Auckland - manking it impossible to complete watching almost any movie - missed the last 10 minutes of mine. bummer!

Just as an update to the issue. Made a dummy booking to check prices for my dad this morning and it worked fine.

The switching off of the IFE ridiculously early ( as well as starting it late ) is a problem with QF too

SYD-AKL in LAN J also has very ordinary food. I have used the flight several times and the food was the same rubbish on each occasion.

The food in F when they had it was dire. A sandwich was all that was offered on SYD-AKL when I did it; bad enough that when I got to AKl I cancelled the AKL-SYD F I had booked on LA and rebooked on EK

One of the advantages of NZ, unless sitting in exit row or bulkhead IFE operates gate to gate (or it did when I flew the A320 AKL-MEL in Jan).

When I flew Lan J class Syd-AKL-Scl 4 years ago, I got a miserable sandwich for lunch bet Syd-Akl:rolleyes:; the sector bet Akl-Scl was completely different:shock:. The crew donned jackets, handed out amenity kits, and the food, beverage, service improved significantly!!

This must be a peculiarlity of SYD-AKL-SYD sectors.

We did SCL-AFO-SCL-EZE-SCL-AKL and on all sectors (Y) the food was good, better than QF short haul (non-meal times). And the food on SCL-AKL was perfectly fine (dinner + breakfast). This was September last year.

So it looks like the AKL-SYD segment is not high on LANs priorities.August 2008 the food, wine and service in J PPT-IPC-SCL-LIM-UIO was excellent.

AKL/SYD was never a star sector for LA - they only used it as a hop point for the SCL sector and that's that. Hence the below average food (I can only speak for J, though).

For the three hour SYD-AKL flight, you might as well pig out in the QP or FL and sleep in the otherwise fine J seat with a huge amount of leg room for the whole flight. J breakfast on AKL-SYD is OK - not fantastic, but OK. Then again, since it's an OMG o'clock flight you might just eschew breakfast and sleep anyway.
