Lan 800 cancelled offload to nz - STATUS ?

LA800 and Aerolinas have both been cancelled out of Syd this morning and I have been bumped to NZ104.
Can I still claim my points and status credits as if I have actaully taken the flight and what documentation should I have and who should i address it to?

I was peeved they couldnt find a QF flight as it was part status run.

Chaos as usual with the South Amercicans with apparently only three staff and no announcement and the tempers were rising.

This maybe a moderators question - Lindsay / Serfty?

You should (will) be able to claim your original SC and point entitlement though you may have to ring the QF FF centre with the details.

Are you in Star Alliance ffp ? As well as getting QF points & SC you may be able to the get Air NZ, UA or BMI miles etc. (double dip)

If I can double dip that would be great, but I dont want to jepodise my entitlement to SC that should have originally been earned. Does anyone know if we can do this with an offload?

When I was involuntarily rerouted by BA, I had no problems getting Qantas to credit the points which should have been applied , though I am not aware of any condition in the T&Cs that provides the entitlement

If it was me, I would be expecting to get the QF points and be quite happy to be on NZ since my limited experiences of NZ business have been favourable

Personally, I would be wary about trying to claim the miles to another scheme in case QF did find out and then decline to credit for the flight

Should be no issue getting original routing credit. Send off an e-mail to QF explaing what happened and provide a copy of the original e-ticket and the boarding pass of the NZ flight. From experience it does not take that long to credit to QFF....
