This is a warning to all those looking for a unique self catering experience in France -beware the glossy photos may be accurate but if the custodian/manager is an aggressive non helpful nightmare your expensive holiday could be a disaster as was my recent experience with CHRISTINE manager of LA VIGERIE near SARLAT in the DORDOGNE a two weeks nightmare that cost over 9000 Euros.No internet,Tv or phone,not enough beds,pool pumps broken, be warned.

So he had a tiff whilst renting a chateau. Hope the OP could speak some French.

TV. Meh! I seen french TV you didn't miss much and the langauge might have been a barrier.

How many beds were available? 3 king and 5 single? Could you sleep 8 adults and 2 children as per the website?

Pool pump broken, but was the pool clean? How long was it broken for?
