Trying to book 2 x business class seats Brisbane - Copenhagen 29 June. Called Krisflyer, through horrible English and a broken line managed to establish that 50% of the points needed for the redemption is required in the account in order to waitlist. I have that. She said I also needed to nominate my other traveller in my account first which I've also done.

Account says I need more miles, I ignore that and click proceed and the page just sits there.

Any ideas? Was the girl just wrong about the 50% of points?

Communication is a wonderful thing.

The way I would approach it is to do two waitlist bookings for one seat each. Each time the system will check the required miles v the available miles.

I think the 50% aspect would be valid in this case. I assume you have >68,000 miles in your account which is 50% of your total requirement of 136,000 miles.

Do waitlist #1, requires 68,000, in the account is >68,000, waitlist can go through.
Do a new Waitlist #2, requires 68,000, in the is still >68,000, waitlist #2 goes through.

Will this achieve your required outcome?

This plan would come unstuck if there is one seat available for the first booking, in which case you would need to decide on whether you are ready to commit.

No that is incorrect - you require full pts availability to waitlist - easy to test that yourself online. You can clearly says on the page you have insufficient miles to proceed with waitlist.
