Krisflyer Star Alliance redemption question

A quick Q on a Krisflyer redemption:
I'm trying to get from DBV - PER in Jan next year. I'm thinking about using my Krisflyer miles to do a Star Alliance redemption in J, possibly going DBV-IST-SIN-PER, on Turkish Airlines and then Singapore. It does count as a Star Alliance redemption, right, even though one of the flights is on Singapore? Also, any ideas what the taxes would be, or is my best bet to ring Krisflyer?

Yes with *A it can include any combination of *A members including SQ (or not). I have redeemed *A for single airlines and multiple airlines.

And yes if you call up they will quote you what the fees will be before you have to confirm. I have done this sometimes just to check out what was available.
One time they actually even found more direct seats on SQ at the Krisflyer rate when none showed up online.


If SQ only then SQ would be cheaper points wise as a Krisflyer booking.

As lovetravellingoz says, this is certainly allowed. Off the top of my head it would be 95,000 KrisFlyer miles in J, with taxes around $500. But you would have to call KrisFlyer to find out exactly how much (and whether there is availability).

You do not get the 15% on any *A bookings. Even if it was possible to book an all SQ *A award via Krisflyer you will still not get a 15% discount as 1/ it is not a feature of these awards and 2/ you actually cannot book *A Awards online via Krisler.

The 15% is only for Krisflyer Awards made online, or what would have been a Krisflyer Award made on line but for some reason needs to be completed via a phone booking. ie due to a glitch or inserting a stop-over.

Even if it was possible to book an all SQ *A award via Krisflyer you will still not get a 15% discount as ..... 2/ you actually cannot book *A Awards onlia via Krisflyer.

So, to sum up, even if you could you can't?
