hello all,
i was just wondering if when you use miles to uprade from economy to business, do you get complimentary lounge access?
Background info: I am on the blue krisflyer card and have enough miles for an upgrade between SIN and HKG (want to try the new seats!!!!!)

thanx for reading this (and hopefully replying ;) )

Yes;), and you can checkin at the Business counter as well...

Note the upgrade cost is more for the 77W flights. I'd rather upgrade 2 744/772er flights than 1 77W.

thanks kpc and kiwi flyer,
kiwi flyer how much more are we talking about here?, i have 18,000 odd miles and the upgrade (for non 77W i guess) is 15000.
its a bit annoying that its not on the award upgrade .pdf, (unless ive missed it of course)

thanks alot

Re-reading the Kris Flyer website I am no longer sure. Business awards on 77W are only available unrestricted (at twice the cost of saver awards).

The upgrade chart doesn't actually mention 77W, nor does the online calculator.

I do think, however, that there will be no saver upgrades (stands to reason as availability for awards and upgrades comes from the same booking classes). If that is correct then need 30,000 one-way.

(And of course need to be booked in booking classes YBMSE.)

thanks kiwi flyer,
it looks like i'll use the points up (as they're just sitting there gathering dust) on a non 777W and try the space beds (hopefully the other aircraft(s) are equiped!?)
i think that it is a bit silly that SIA made business (no longer raflfes:evil:) on the 777W unrestrictive only, did they do that when they implimented the spacebeds a while back?

anyway thanks for your help,

No it is a recent change (1 Feb 07).

Note most SIN-HKG flights have regional seats. You need the flight that does SIN-HKG-SFO (operated by 747) to get spacebeds.
