Krisflyer award redemptions within Europe?

I had to cancel a trip back home to the UK to see the folks for Xmas, and have a bunch of miles I'm unlikely to be able to use in the next couple of years.

I'll use some to shout mum and dad a trip to Australia to see their new granddaughter (i.e. the reason for me having to cancel my trip, and for me not being able to use my miles for a few years...!)

However I'd also like to shout them a few smaller trips next year. They are already added as nominees on my Krisflyer account.

What I'm finding is that for their departure point of AGP in Spain, there are plenty of connections on Turkish to Istanbul, but anything on from there to Paris, Rome etc isn't allowed (presumably because it's backtracking.)

Is there any other way that anyone has stumbled upon to use Krisflyer miles for flights that are within Europe?

(And if that's a dumb question, perhaps a slightly less dumb one, is there a reliable way of transferring Amex MR points to an airline that has a partner that would allow these redemptions, even in Y?)

This is quite easy - you can book award flights on any *A airline which (of course) flies to/from AGP - a quick search shows LX, SN, SAS, and a couple of others. All of these would allow valid routings to Paris, Rome, UK etc via their own hub. These short routes within Europe are not usually good use of points however. Use flightstats.com to find all airlines which service AGP then united.com to find award flights then call Krisflyer to book - SQ's online booking of *A award flights is very limited.
