I am after some information on the BNE Koru lounge, in particular food offerings and the general condition of the lounge. My ANZ flight is around lunchtime so I'm wondering whether it is snack food then or something more substantial.

Stopped off in the BNE Koru lounge a few months ago. Can't remember exactly what food was on offer but there were several choices of hot food including pasta as well as snack foods, we didn't go hungry. Not a huge lounge but perfectly comfortable. I was there on a Sunday so it was pretty quiet.

I haven't flown out of there at lunch time but flew out at 9:30am a few weeks back.

Plenty of food available. Scrambled eggs, sausages and a pancake machine were hot food options, plus various pastries, breads, bircher muesli and yoghurts.

Drinkable NZ wine including sparkling plus soft drinks. The sparkling water tap was a welcome feature.

It was rather quiet when we were in there. Certainly not a lounge to rave about, but comfortable enough to spend an hour before boarding.

Plenty of substantial food options available, and as others have said, it isn't massive but still comfortable enough.

What date are you flying? There is a new BNE Koru lounge scheduled to open at the end of 2015 or early 2016.

Lounge is OK but nothing special.

Condition of the lounge is OK but can get very busy quickly and the power points get taken very early. There is a charging point in the middle of the lounge if you want to leave your device unattended.

As for food it has your usual salad, snacks, cheese etc plus some hot food in the afternoon/evening I was there. From memory there was some pasta and 2 curry dishes that followed one after the other. Butter chicken and Thai green chicken curry from memory. I cherry pick the meat and leave the curry behind.

And in the end just as well I had something to eat as I was left starving on the Virgin flight across the ditch.

Thanks for the info. Food was mainly sandwiches with the odd quiche and cold salads. Kept us full until we arrived in NZ. It was quite full and was hard to find a spare group of seats.
