Hi, just looking to see if anyone has travelled with Korean Airlines? There are some good deals to Europe ($1299.00) up to March 2010 with stop over in Seoul on the way out and back that we are thinking of doing. So if you have used KA or have any tips re Seoul can you please let me know, where to stay, best shopping tips etc. What aircraft do they use? and best seats etc. We hope to have 3 days on the way out in Seoul, 10 or 12 days Paris and 2 or 3 days on the way back. Thank you

I recently flew Korean (KE - KA is Dragonair) and they were good. Lots of legroom (34' pitch - which is three inches more than Qantas and it makes a lot of difference). The meals were fine and the plane had vidoe programs on demand. I ordered vegetarian and they made those interesting and not too bland.

Now the big issue is that I was on a newly refubished 777 - and your experience may differ on different aircraft. (The plane was beautifully clean and Seoul airport is ok too.)

seatguru (.com) lists all the 15 or so variants of Korean Airlines' fleet - quick sample shows economy seat pitch (legroom) as being pretty standard at around 33 or 34 inches.

May be a good idea to give Korean Airlines a quick call and ask them the specific aircraft type for your flights, then check seatguru.
