Not sure this is in the best interests of the consumer, but when has that ever stopped the chaebols!!

Another article from Reuters here;

Would that free up the airline code OZ for any new Australian airlines?

So is Asiana going to be brought under the Korean Air brand, or continue to be run as a separate operation?

I wonder what implications this would have for the Asiana Club frequent flyer program, and in particular for those with lifetime Asiana status!

So is Asiana going to be brought under the Korean Air brand, or continue to be run as a separate operation?

The Reuters report states they will operate independently for now, no forced redundancies, but no staff replacement until Asiana disappears eventually.

Apparently, the airlines will not merge until 2024.

This may be the year?
