OK, so NoNews is a source of embarrassment for all of us, but take a squizz at this:

An incredible model airport has gone on display in Germany. Picture: Getty Images

PLANES take off, passengers wander through terminals and workers tend to the jets, but this is no ordinary airport.

The world’s largest model airport/railway, the Knuffingen Airport, has gone on display in Germany.

Very Cool:) Complete with video showing off airplane and vehicle movements. I want it:)

I’d love to see a behind the scenes video showing how the planes are connected to the take-off, and disconnected from the landing system, as well as where they go and all that.

Would love to see this... Let's have a look if we can get there when we are in Belgium next month...

I’d love to see a behind the scenes video showing how the planes are connected to the take-off, and disconnected from the landing system, as well as where they go and all that.

This video has some behind the scenes with english subtitles

YouTube - Gerrits Tagebuch Vol. 18: Testbetrieb der Flugzeuge im Detail (Teil1)

There are even more videos. From what I can see the aircraft connects to the take off unit. It takes off then when behind the scenes, lowers it back down to the ground and the aircraft moves forward to a platform. From there I saw 3 levels of aircraft waiting to return to the airport!

When it's gone through the waiting pattern, it connect to the landing system. Is raised then bought back into view as if it was landing.

Incredible!
