Looking at interesting challenge options for some adventure travel to Europe in October this year. I can easily do the direct fligths with SQ QF etc but I'm always up for a deal.

I came across this deal on Bestflights - Philippine Airlines & KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Business Class Sale to 10 Cities May 13-Apr 14

Pros -
  • Get to visit more cities with lengthy stopovers long enough to get out of the airport.
  • Cheap.
  • Can also mix/match some MNL work into the schedule.

Cons -
  • PR is recliner seats, KLM are angled flatbeds.
  • Going to be a five sector trip
  • Will take longer

Before I get too excited anyone know any of the fare rules or other 'features' of this fare?

Spoke to bestflights. can't be booked online. Basically it is the PR BNE-MNL-BNE intro fare nested with a promotion KLM fare NML-Europe-MNL.

As can be expected, it's a hard fare to find as the dates need to be finessed to get the best fare from both airlines.

Didn't work 3 days either side of my flexible itinerary so not one that I can pursue further.

I think it is worth further investigation for those with more flexible times.
