If you are looking at flying to Singapore ex KL or similar, dont put too much value on the benefits of lounge access at KLIA . The MH regional lounge is very very average, with limited food offerings and the worst internet I have ever experienced.

i found it perfectly adequate and never had a problem with internet so YMMV

Were you using the lounge internet or the terminal internet, I was in a part of the lounge that just had the lounge net, it was shocking with authentication drop outs and speed, I should say the domestic lounge underneath never had the same issues two weeks prior.

For the premium of flying MH versus 3K I will take 3K in future, they even give you better food on 3K with the plus pack, never thought I would put 3K ahead of a One World option .

Is this the satellite terminal lounge at KUL?

I found it ok for 2 longish stopovers. I am from PER and the PER QP is my regular haunt so lounges don't need to be great to beat it.

I found they had a decent food selection, with pasta, soup, multiple other hot dishes, desserts, icecream and a continental selection as well as a salad station.

The Internet was fine once I got into it but some areas don't seem covered by the wifi properly. The lockers are useful too, keeping stuff safe without lugging it around the terminal.

Maybe I'm talking about the wrong lounge, or haven't experienced a properly decent lounge yet!

No, this is the regional lounge for international short haul located in the main building just left of where the satellite train is located, for departures using the G gates etc

And because you are using G gates I assume you can't go to the better lounges in the satellite, nor access the Domestic lounge (which I think is level separated)

Could have always used the satellite if I could have been bothered with the train etc, which is a bit of a time soak.

Ah, then we are talking about the same lounge. The one in the small terminal, without the rainforest etc. I didn't find it that bad!

It was OK as I posted, but no alcohol is available before the afternoon and its not self serve, along with the internet problems that perhaps may have been transitory and not reflective of the norm, probably not that dissimilar to Skyview in Singapore.

For KUL-SIN, I find 3K quite adequate, although I don't rate their chicken sandwich that highly!

If you are in economy on MH, they really only have meals if your flight time is greater than 60 minutes, otherwise it may just be the peanuts!

I would take the "chicken" sandwich over the peanuts anyday, especially for the $40 delta, even if the "chicken" was pink compressed meat.

IME, the taste of the processed "cheese" swamps the flavour of the pressed "chicken" :)

I have always used the Satellite lounge and just left enough time to take the shuttle train back to the main terminal and take the often long walk to the gate.

They do have a barista which was nice.

I was using the lounge internet

I found the food options in this lounge to be adequate for an early afternoon departure. The noodle station put together a nice light meal and there were lots of snacks and sweets to graze on. The ice cream fridge is also a winner.

The business centre on the other hand is a bit average. The internet on the desktop computers wasn't speedy but was fine for basics like email. I spent 20 minutes trying to print to what I thought was the printer but was in fact a photocopier, only to discover that the only printer-capable computer was tucked in a corner... and in use.

Skyview is probably a fair comparison, though I haven't spent anywhere as much time in this lounge as I have in Skyview, so I'm not sure about how things like showers compare. They look decent enough though.

3K will remain my commuter of choice to SIN. I find things like the MH service and gate-to-gate IFE only improve the experience on flights well over an hour.
