For the record, I'm not a bourbon drinker, but had an opportunity to visit the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience, so when in Rome...

This tour is situated on 'Whiskey Row' in Louisville Kentucky and is informative and enjoyable. Evan Williams is one of the Heaven Hill Distillery's brands who hold the 2nd largest stock of bourbon in the world.

The tour takes you through the history of the relationship between Evan Williams and how bourbon was produced in the early days pre and post prohibition days. Surprised to learn of the relationship with the Beam name.

You also learn of the bourbon making process and the requirements needed to call it bourbon and not whiskey.

The Artisanal Distiller Jodie Filiatreau hard at work. The Evan Williams Bourbon Experience only makes one barrel per day.

Into the tasting room. My favourite was the Evan Williams Single Barrel.

The name sounded familiar, one of the many we visited when we did the Kentucky Bourbon Trail a few year ago, a lot of fun/spent the weekend during a work project driving around.

Back then, you got a free tshirt (design changes yearly) for getting 6 stamps in your passport but must be more popular now as you only get a glass now: Kentucky Bourbon Trail . Makers Mark was my fav.

Thanks for posting!

I drink bourbon. And have just added whiskey row, Louisville to my long list of places to be.

Thanks for posting.
