Tell me about I always think that and occasionally try to work out a better option, I even emailed a few airlines asking for a status match and only Turkish Airlines said they would when I hit OWE which I am now. Its a bit of a catch 22 though cos if I dont get a status match and start a fresh it means I have to work my way back to the top again which is total downer. Imagine sitting the airport while you are trying to obtain a better status with another airline when you know you could be sipping on a glass of Bollinger in the F lounge!!

There's generally no access to the first class lounges via *A status (with few exceptions), so you might want to stay in the OW camp for now if you like your Bollinger.

Congrats! Been there and retained travelling Y only for 3 years; miss it a lot, but I'm coming to terms with using the points and SCs I can, to keep me at Silver - fingers crossed Platinum will return one day very soon. :)

Given the hardship some endure to achieve WP. Free is not necessarily a good description.
....... More like a reward for effort
